    Hello aorund the world!!!

    Hi all,

It is exciting to be here and it seems to be a really interesting site. I am here for the main reason that I may be needing this site for my lit studies and I hope someone will give me their views on matters that I may have to raise in my next post. English is my second language and as a mature age student, I feel that English can really twist my mind at times especially when it comes to analysing academic literature questions. Yep, mature age student, with three younger children and have not been back to uni for ages, and with nursing background, literature is totally out of my range. I'm currently studying Arts and currently taking up lit as one of my electives. So please helpppp. I will be posting my question in the appropriate thread in a minute.

Many thanks and it's great 2b here!

    Cheers

Hi, I just joined the forum. I was looking around on the internet for some place to discuss literature (the friends with whom I usually do this were all out of town) and this was the first to come up.

Hi guys! I am currently a student enrolled in Taipei American School. Ever since I was small, reading has been one of my hobbies. My mom used to go the library and borrow a bunch of books and every weekend I would spend my afternoon reading through every single book : ) for fun. I also love tennis, studio art, anime and music. I play the alto sax and the piano... As for art, I like acrylics.
    that's about it~

    Cool

hey frnds,,, im doin masters in humanities n i m not an ardent reader, but i look at things 'round me wid a new perspective,i read n wen i read,i think,nt about its aesthetic accomplishment, but about lyf.lyf is an amazing thing n it brings out of us,the things we ourselves dnt expect.n literature is a whole, complete lyf in itself.it depicts reality,it depits lyf.....

    Greetings from Maine.

I teach AP English Literature, am an avid reader -- I just finished David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest -- and I look forward to some good discussions.
