Howdy to all the new users! Cat, what part of the PNW are you in? Apart from my native Florida, that is my favorite part of the country. I used to live in Juneau, and I've spent a decent amount of time in Washington.

    Hello

I'm glad to have found this board. I'm not sure how well I'll be able to keep up but at least I can finally chat some with people who have similar literary interests.
I am a second grade teacher in upstate NY (one of the only male teachers in my building). My favorite literary works are Oliver Twist, The Adventures of Tom Sawer, The Adv. of Huckleberry Finn, Peter Pan, among others. I've also made it partway through Les Miserable and am currently reading Treasure Island.

I didn't even see that the first time around. Heartattack and Vine is one of my all-time favorites!

Welcome Cat. Glad to hear you like writing. Love to read something you've written. Fiction or poetry?

I love to write poetry but also write some short stories when the mood hits me. Mostly fiction when I do. Drop by my site. I have also entered some contest to view some poetry.

    Yeah!!! SHOW THE LOVE, YO!!!
"The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of the people and then they take themselves out of the slums. Christ changes men, who then changes their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature." ~ Ezra Taft Benson
