BBC Top 200 - Shortest > Longest

hello, this is my first post. how are you all?

okay don’t want to tread on anyone’s toes here, an i'm not lazy in anyway, but due to my limited free time, and my silly ideas, i am attempting to read the top 200 books from the bbc's poll.

this may seem a silly question, but can anyone give some sort of list of the top 200 books in order, shortest to longest. doesnt make sense? please reply anyway. so i can get through as many of them as possible. i know in the long run i spend the same time reading them all but err...

i know Jonathan Livingstone Seagulls probably the shortest but ive read it...

Hi, Mumbling. Interesting that you wanted to read from the shortest to the longest. Personally, I like to read from the 1st to the latest.

I hope someone could help you out with the list you need.

Hi Genius,

There are couple of short, children's books in the list (The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and some others by J. Wilson) and also The Old Man and the Sea might be shorter (or the same?) than JLS. If you cannot find such a list readily available, you might like to go amazon.com and write down the page numbers of the books and 'sort' them in a Word document table. I have two lists of the books sorted alphabetically (title and author) but not according to page number.

If you prepare it, let us know as well!

Hm, I usually avoid these lists in general, mainly because I usually have more books to read than I know what to do with. But, I think I may just look at this list mainly to see how many I have read of my own off it. So, where do I get it? I don't pay attention to such things

heh, chances are I saw that and overlooked it. I am happy to say that I have read 3 of the top 5's. It saddens me that Harry Potter is in the top five. I have read the first one though, can't remember the name anymore because I don't pay attention to that craze. I am sure if I go through it I have read a lot of them. Thank you for the link.

I cant tel you in the top 200 genius but only the top 100 I think and only think mind you the biggest book that is not a trilogy ( gormrnghast, LotR, His dark materials etc) may be War and peace.
And the shortest is The Twits by R. Dahl
