I just had a thought today while studying for my logic test:
Most proof for and against the existence of God is a fallacy:
ad ignorantium, the appeal to ignorance:
God exists because you can't prove he doesn't and vice versa, God doesn't exist because you can't prove he does.

So to come to a point, threads asking pointed questions (another fallacy) such as why God doesn't manifest himself or the ol' If God don't like what I'm doing may he strike me down right now, generally have no merit logically speaking, they are fallacies.

Religion is based on blind faith, so either you believe or don't, there is no means of prooving one correct.
