Nice. I was actually thinking about x-men when I picked that category.

sido I wonder if you have seen the most recent x-men? days of future past? I thought it was fantastic.

that was fun, I had to grab my "stalking the healthful herbs" book by euell gibbons, circa 1973 to hunt up an answer for that.

    and im settling on:

    elecampane

"this relative of the lowly daisy is a strikingly handsome plant...the ancient greeks and romans valued elecampane not only as an efficacious medicine, but also as a culinary herb and condiment. even poets were acquainted with it..."

pretty neat! I half think I have this growing around my pond!

echinacea---which is also in the daisy family. ive had it in tea form before. if it was the echinacea, it creates a sort of slippery feel to the tea.

I did watch it. It's not my favorite in the X-Men franchise, but I certainly found it entertaining. I have been a fan of X-men since childhood. I loved watching the cartoon (the 1990's one) and used to hum the tune all day long I was fond of Cyclops back then, but ever since the movies came out, I've been a fan of Wolverine

Good to see you here again bounty I really liked the 1st and 2nd movies. The first one especially, 'cos it was the first movie I watched at a movie theater.

Smarties! (used to love the red ones 'cos they make your tongue go red )

    why thank you sido!

I liked the first movies too for the sheer sake of being more deeply introduced to characters I was only otherwise vaguely associated with. I hadn't followed x-men really when I was a kid.

if you are a star trek fan, you might be interested in knowing there are a couple of star trek novels where the trek universe and the x-men universe overlap, and the characters know and interact with each other. I read one a while ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. it was funny when captain picard and Charles Xavier met and commented on a similarity in appearance.

ah now smarties---there are two smarties out there, the little round colored sugar discs that come in a small plastic wrapping, and the candy coated chocolate ones that are kinda like an alternate version of m&m's. but since you mention red, you must mean the chocolate ones right? I remember liking those a lot, but they are hard to come by in America. are you in England I wonder? I understand they are more common there?

oh totally stegosaurus! I think I might have even had a little plastic one of him when I was little.
