    inspiration!

As a first year English Language and Linguistics student I was a little daunted when, in my creative writing class, i was told the years assessment was a 2000 word 'piece' and a diary describing the process. having stared at a blank screen for several hours i'm still waiting for inspiration. who else writes? how are they inspired?

type a word, any word. Take note of this in your diary as the 'beginning' of your process. Repeat as neccessary. And, NO, I'm not kidding.........

Usually I don't need much inspiration. But if it's something for school I just sasy to myself: "If you don't do a good enough job on this, you're going to fail this class " That usually gets me motivated

Baddad, your method works sometimes too (haven't tried it a lot though)

Think about if you were going to die, but you had one day to do what you want, and to spend it with who you want, what would you do and who would you be with. That always gets me thinking. Or, just let your mind day dream. Read other books, ummm... well, that's all i guess. Maybe you could watch the news if you're into tradgedy stories...

Well you have to decide what your `piece' will be about?

A diary describing your process will allow you to break it down into itty bitty bits if necessary and when the words aren't just spilling out. That's my plan of attack anyway, breaking a `piece' down, even if you have to do it word by word.

I got stucked in a traffic jam, then inspiration came and I thought about people who rambled in the bus; the strangers trying to kill the boredom while they were stuck in traffic jam. I had these dialoques in my head, then when I got home, I wrote those thoughts and I produced a short story.

I broke up with my boyfriend, I produced a poetry. I got so bored with work, I wrote poem about my boss. I hated this teacher when I was in high school and I wrote poems about him, and one of my friends read it then said, " You must hate him so much". I never tried to invite the themes, they just came (not everyday of course).

Those are just little examples about my inspiration.

...hmmmmm.....uh Sub, I prefer enlightened. Feminine and Masculine disignations are devisive. But now I'm feeling 'pouty'.......... *sniff*

But I gotta tell ya' Sub, if you ever met me you you'd probably be quite surprised (shocked?)......but I suppose that applies to all here. Afterall, the only glimpses we see of each other are ethereal.......in the truest sense...........

    Now now...here's a tissue..stop sniffing..

It is suppose to be a compliment, as your masculine side is indeed indubitable..

Now, you should post a picture of yourself on the lit net album. I'd like to see how shocked I could be..

This may be a silly question, but I must ask, do we have a picture album?
