    Wink Henry Chinaski

So, in my admiration of Bukowski's poetry and other writings, i felt a longing to write this.

Follow these directions for a more fruitful and interesting time around the house.

    1. Obtain Buk's poetry book 'Love is a dog from hell'; put it on your nightstand.
    2. 'You get so alone at times that it just makes sense' goes in the bathroom.
    3. 'Septuagenarian Stew' in some other place you visit often. Next the microwave while waiting for your 2nd hot pocket to heat up comes to mind.

Also, if you are so inclined, grab 'Ham on Rye.' I just read 'Post Office' and while it was a great leisure read, and i mean great,(fun, funny) it doesn't pack the wallop that Ham on Rye throws at you. There are a few moments of revelatory genuis in it.

Buk, at times, is a great vacation from the harder literature.
For me he's been a nice picnic at a park with grilled burgers and all the good toppings; consequently the next time you look at that Tolstoy book on your bookshelf you may find the wind in your sails again.
    All across the telegraph
    His name it did resound,
But no charge held against him
    Could they prove.
And there was no man around
Who could track or chain him down,
    He was never known
    To make a foolish move.

I heartily agree with all of your recommendations concerning Bukowski's work.

I cannot, however, support your implicit endorsement of consuming multiple Hot Pockets in one sitting. That's just wrong.

I've only read Post Office so far, but I plan to read more. What a wonderful author.
