In all actuality, there was no one author, but a group of collected stories. Just thought i'd clear that up.

Our Response: Yes, originally there is no one author. However this version is of only selected tales that were selected and edited by Lang.

Andrew Lang collected stories, he didn't claim to have written any of them. And he did write some things - like letters to dead authors, and other works. As for the fairy books, they were collected stories. What's funny to me is how no one is talking about him when he basically inspired JRR Tolkien and Tolkien even wrote about him and the fairy books in an essay on modern fantasy and how it is now.
