This was a very good book. Eliot had a very long style of writing, and at times the book was hard to understand. In all, this book had interesting and not so interesting points. One such point was when Silas Marner thought that his gold was returned but it was in fact a child who’s mother had just frozen to death. The scene was very touching, especially that he would not part with her. Such touching moments definitely make the book more interesting and intriguing. Unlike some books that can be described by saying that they have long sentences when what the critic really means that it seems that the author crammed as many vocabulary words into the book as possible, this book has sentences loaded with details that are useful.
