    Writing a Sonnet

I just need fourteen lines, wait, make that thirteen lines after this
Ok, let us start: I saw you yesterday in a yellow summer dress,
the color of high dosage diazepam (clearly troubled, this girl)
In the stunned heat of a day in July, a woman is leaning from
the fifth-floor window vodka at elbow, she watches the evening
How easy is this, just eight more to go
There are delving days when the ink-blue sea whispers to me
in a sexy voice, 'Come over here boy, and give me a kiss.'
another troubled person, let us find some hope
The morning sun peeks into this hotel room above bourbon street
our silent breaths take shape, hers, and mine
See! A little romance, now let us finish this thing
All I can say to you is that life and existence is nothing more than
all the small print that you never read.

Loved this play with the sonnet form, Tony!
"I seemed to have sensed also from an early age that some of my experiences as a reader would change me more as a person than would many an event in the world where I sat and read. "

It's good to play, sometimes. I like meta in poetry and fiction.
