Neither my usual Firefox or Brave worked. Managed to get in with Microsoft Edge now.

Interesting poem about the art of surviving? Enjoyed the imagery specially the "riotous bickering bats".

Next: amber, sun, butterfly, stage, owl, invite

    The owl and the butterfly

Said the little blue butterfly to the old owl:
Nothing suits me more than dancing
in the sweet amber sun with my friends
I want every one to admire me
I feel eternally on the stage of the world.
Let me invite you to come with me!
    The old owl didn´t answer.
She just closed her eyes resignedly
    while her new friend
Ended in the paws of a stormy whelp.

Next challenge: auburn, sofisticated, solemn, basket, hut, yelding.
"I seemed to have sensed also from an early age that some of my experiences as a reader would change me more as a person than would many an event in the world where I sat and read. "

    Wonderful poem Poor butterfly

Challenge: auburn, sofisticated, solemn, basket, hut, yelding

upon tablets of clay were written / in the style of a Rubáiyát

a young sophisticate with auburn hair -
unyielding grace in the face of whate'er
solemn in her task - a basket of screeds
to deliver promptly she did forswear

to tablet makers to supply their needs
one of many hundreds of faithful Medes
that scribes might style their clays on which to write
copying virtues of their great king's deeds

alas to history is lost their light
their texts now shut and arts gone at their height
    - perhaps not to Magi prophetic seers:
the birth of a King and a star so bright

Enjoyed! Some very sly usages -(un) yelding -s(hut)!

Next: young, sight, brink, myth, lion, stumble, sign

Under the Sign of the Lion

    It was an unusual sight:
    a lion cub stumbling about
    surrounded by the drinkers
    of the old tavern.
    Some of the ladies
were on the brink of tears
    about the young orphaned animal:
    aw, he is so cute!

    Gossip has it
that the cub lived in the tavern
until he had to be given back to nature.
The oldest cronies hold on to the myth
    tha on dark moonless nights
    there is a lion
    Cautiously surrounding the tavern which,
    for ever and a day
    will be called:
    The Sign of the Lion

Next challenge: rays, magic, underground, lifting, trial, efluviously.

    Loved your poem

    Fudging a bit:

Challenge: rays, magic, underground, lifting, trial, efluviously (acrostic )

    in the light

    evanescent rays o-
    f winter sun urge seed-
    lings from
    underground's trial
    vital in the mag-
    ic of the season's progression
    oh, miracles divine grant
us thine procession, we who are
    seeking as seedlings -
    lifting us toward th-
    y promise in thy sight

Beautiful!Good idea to make an acrostic of it.

translate, fresh, dance, midnight, wander, loose

    Translations

    The human body loves
    to translate itself
    in movement.
    Be it through exercises
    in the fresh air
    or in the romantic turns
    of a midnight dance...
    Be it just wandering loosely
and carefree from place to place.
Is movement the way to harmony?
    Perhaps!

Next challenge:new, optimal, caretaker, transcendent, search, dom.
"I seemed to have sensed also from an early age that some of my experiences as a reader would change me more as a person than would many an event in the world where I sat and read. "

    Very nice poem !!

Challenge: new, optimal, caretaker, transcendent, search

As Pure As Fine Gentle Rain

    Radiant transcendent beings... Some
Anciently searching - a lightsome people
In touch optimally with the divine feel
Nearer through the spirit as caretakers the
Yearnings as pure as fine gentle rain.

    Dominions foretold without end... Others
Attest baptisms of water and fire just
Youthful stonewalled jests some don't get
Some receive the spirit, others just get wet.

A transcedent poem. Pondering however if the application of the word "new" is acceptable.

wriggle, island, disco, talk, moon, suite

    Instantaneous poem

    People wriggle in a disco
    on a deserted island
    where the full moon
    talks to the stars.
    The talk reverberates
    like a musical suite
    over the lonely island
    where people stamp and stomp
    to the sound of it.

Next challenge: legend, snake, vivacious, eons, asleep, ruminate.
"I seemed to have sensed also from an early age that some of my experiences as a reader would change me more as a person than would many an event in the world where I sat and read. "

lol... I thought I could sneak "new" in using one of my techniques learned from the (now defunct) online "Poetry in Motion" daily contests. Nearly all my early haiku and minimalist poetry came from that era (circa 2003 and on).

edit: Found a similar game here https://magneticpoetry.com/pages/play-online

    Love your poem

Challenge: legend, snake, vivacious, eons, asleep, ruminate

    Thor's Bane

    eons asleep
    singularly coiled
    snakelike
    massive
    no vivaciousness here
    a legend -
    slumbering ruminations
    Ragnarok calls -
    Jörmungandr answers
    releasing its tail

    Enjoyed!

Next: bottle, stream, gnome, sound, slippery, farewell

    The gnome in the bottle

    "A slippery farewell"
    said the gnome
    imprisoned in the bottle
    before he dived
    into the stream of forgetfulness.
    No more sounds were heard,
    in what seemed
    just an empty bottle.

Next challenge: riotous, climate, bandworm, riding, neatly, tempest.

    lol... enjoyed

Challenge: riotous, climate, bandworm, riding, neatly, tempest

    Bandworm by Psywhispering

    bandworm - a riotous beat
    riding speed percussions into a
    tempest neatly affecting climate
    change from the energy generated
    and carbon exhaled through dance

    Lol! Climate devastating bandworm!

debut, crevice, rock, midnight, modest, glance

    The Crevice

    A modest crevice
    made her debut
    just at midnight
    gracing the
    salient rock.

    She was so insignificant,
    she couldn´t be
    detected at first glance.
    Yet she bore in herself,
    the secret of
the future ruin of the rock

Next challenge: roar, riddle, ransom, ranting, rusty, realm.

    Enjoyed

    how sublime !

the rantings of rhythm and rhyme
from the realm of glorious lyricists
by roaring front men offering riddles
    in their syncopated rusty deliveries
of ransomed words - how sublime !

Very elegant take with "r" rolling though the poem.

reflection, impact, thought, line, shift, detail

    The impact of a thought

    A thought may impact
    a train of reflection,
    like a pebble, that
    thrown into the water
    disturbs its quiet surface
    or a small shift in
    the line of the horizon.
    The devil, the saying goes,
    lives in the details.

New challenge: solid, sound, brakes, enterprise, channelling, wood.
"I seemed to have sensed also from an early age that some of my experiences as a reader would change me more as a person than would many an event in the world where I sat and read. "
