Cool poem: Interesting imagery there. I like how the secret button is revealed in the word you left out... very clever

too young for the summer of love (birds/ancient/ guitar/endeavor/longing)

I dreamt of a time only
    an electric guitar could evoke
    :as ancient as the 60's
    - twentieth century endeavors
    that lured birds to
    surreal pillow conclavities
    and psychedelic heights -
    longings I can only imagine

Lol! Forgot the word gladness. Loved your interpretation of This oversight!
    Enjoyed the nostalgic session!

    sanctuary/spoon/revel/river/geode

    The Geode

    It inhabits the sanctuary
    at the banks of
    a secret river.

    The Geodeīs heart is hollow
and has the form of a spoon.
In the game of gain and lose
    he eternally revels in
    his victory.

    Enjoyed

"After thunder comes the rain !" - July/lentils/parachute/howling/underground

An epitaph wails from Hades' domain
A howling from beyond the grave
"After thunder comes the rain !"

Her torment, let me explain -
Pierced her cold, cold heart as if by glaive
An epitaph wailed from Hades' domain

No sweet disposition did she ever maintain
No golden parachutes for those who deprave
"After thunder comes the rain !"

June's bickering was followed by July's complain
Xanthippe treating her spouse as less a slave
An epitaph wails from Hades' domain

As humble as lentils Socrates lived in twain
His philosophies no mere underground rave
"After thunder comes the rain !"

    For Xanthippe's riotous disdain
A chamber pot on Socrates' pate did she lave
An epitaph wails from Hades' domain
"After thunder comes the rain !"

Lol! Somewhat partial to Xanthippe, but laving the chamberpot on the pate is mean!

    His bottle empty
    He got up
    To go to the club
    with his cup
    and The Cub.

    But, where were his wallet

    Dear yapoc,
    Since you were swept away
    deceased under a violet sky

lol... too much rain again, poor yapoc

    Mine needs a little work:

an acrostic production: an homage to unrequited love

sadly, t'was a one night show - some giggled, said
it was more a one night stand - a dashing lead her-
maphroditic snail ought to have had less than a sn-
owball in, well, with an anthropomorphic caterpillar
no matter how one spun the cocoon or tale of

all the kerfuffles of identities and gender nuanced se-
nsibilities unsung of in the seventies; the dullar-
ds of the academy ought to have had their diminutive

minds open to the possibility of - a sweet soliloquy
in the garden - where she, having received her
ring of moonstone (symbolic of hope and fertility) -
artfully singing arias rife with thrilling glissandos bri-
nging down the house, heralding love eternal! - instea-
d received a bouquet of stargazer lilies - her lead
actor of note unceremoniously served as escargot

Wonderful! Your poem and the reference made my day! itīs a long time since I laughed so much! Should be presented at some of this gender discussions we have today. But I have still a difficulty to find the acrostic in some poems.

The torments of an ambitious young author

He was forever thinking of his plot.
He didnīt want it to be rubbish
He fevered about it a lot.

He fevered about it a lot.
While trothing around in his best clothes
He was forever thinking of his plot.

He was forever thinking of his plot.
    While dreaming of velvet carpets
But he never wrote the final dot.

    lol... love the poetic form

    it's da bomb

her anomy was too apparent to have been missed -
'twas her glowing persona that betrayed her in a twist

one would think making a hydrogen bomb tough,
it's not - you just need (4) A-bombs to start with (and stuff)

for each A-bomb simply gather a basket of
enriched U-235, or Plutonium lying around, using gloves...
Geiger counters from any army surplus store
help in this initial procurement step; wherefore -

unenriched U-235 is more of a hassle but possibly easier to
obtain, but it needs to be enriched - you'll need true
yellow cake (not the store brand) and hydrogenous
stuff to start - then the fun begins with some simple
HS chemistry (and some band experience playing the timple)

once the fissionable stuff is prepared the controls
and assembly begins: large metal salad bowls,
some C4, and an old vacuum cleaner obtained from
a thrift store come in useful for the steps to come

for the final process some lithium will be necessary -
hydrogenous lithium is easily obtained; (think battery)

    - now a word about waste:

indigenous lands are traditionally utilized, whether it's
buried underground or trapped in earthen pits
covered with water; however household facilities are just
as effective (and immeasurably more robust)

in a scathing tweet, prior to detonating her first
device, her three 9-year old followers conversed -
a terse discourse on what targets would prove best
    - but, after nixing the three grade schools addressed
she took matters into her own hands and settled on

Ump! Quite explosive this one. Sadly couldnīt read the reference. Nixing. Sounded familiar:
    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/nix

    bee/river/whisper/scale/green

    Whisper, whisper little bee
    What are the news you
    have for me?

    Iīve seen the scales
    of the big fish
    glimmer in the
    blue river.

    Whisper, whisper little bee
    What are the news you
    have for me?

    I flew over green planes
    drinking the nectar
    of multiple flowers.

    Whisper, whisper little bee
    What are the news you
    have for me?

    I flew over the river
    the river was blue
    no more.
    I saw the silver
    scales glistening
    on the shore.

    I sought the green planes
    They werenīt green
    anymore.
    I saw so many
    flowers wilting
    on the shore

Enjoyed the poem - so sad the message.

Here's a quotation from my source:
How To Make Your Own H-Bomb
After the federal government obtained a court order to keep The Progressive magazine from publishing an article describing the technology of the hydrogen bomb, Seven Days, a bimonthly published in New. York, stepped into the breach. What follows is excerpted from the Seven Days articie, written by staffers Barbara Ehrenreich, Peter Biskind and Jane Melnick and scientist Michio Kaku. It has not been cleared with the Department of Energy or any other federal agency : THE HEART of the successful H-bomb is the successful A-bomb. Once you've got your A-bombs made, the rest is frosting on the cake. 1. Getting the Ingredients

Uranium is the basis ingredient of the A-bomb. There are two kinds of uranium, the rare U-235,used in bombs, and the more common, heavier, but useless U-238...
and it continues quite tongue in cheek

I need to make a quick edit.
