    Enjoyed this haiku so much!

Next: friends, whispering, inclined, condor, parabolic, peripheral

Inspiration El Condor pasa:https://www.letras.mus.br/simon-e-ga.../traducao.html (Simon and Garfunkel created very different lyrics for that song

    The condor

The condor flies over the Inca empire
    all day long
    whispering a song
    all day long
    a song of freedom.

In his par'bolic and peripheral position
    he sings this song
    all day long
    the song of freedom

And all the friends so inclined
    they sing the song
    all day long
    the song of freedom.

Next challenge: immense, universe, aeons, silence, squirrel, rebounding.

Challenge: immense, universe, aeons, silence, squirrel, rebounding

    a cosmic silence

    a squirrel sees the
    immensity of the universe
    in a nut

ground and tree and limb -
    bounding and rebounding -
    gathering and storing

    nuts seemingly provided by
    aeons in a cosmic silence

    AAAAIIIII!

Next: pique, ghostly, ziggurat, placid, wasp, awe

    The ziggurat
    An usually placid wasp
    dreamed about an awesome ziggurat
    inhabited by millions of wasps.

    It woke up
and there it was the ziggurat,
    in front of her
with the wasps all swarming about it.
The wasp was piqued on finding
    that all friends and family
    had moved to the ziggurat.
    No one had invited her.

But then the ghostly sructure disappeared
    into thin air.
It had been a dream inside a dream.

Next challenge: quicksand, howering, dragging, belongings, hat, doorsteps.

Enjoyed ! "a dream inside a dream" Very nice

    Challenge accepted !

Challenge: quicksand, howering, dragging, belongings, hat, doorsteps

    Xquic

    the howering had begun; the
howers crept as the blood moon
    rose and Xquic observes...

as side hustles went on the black
web this one was quite lucrative -
and paid in crypto currency laundered
so much it was virtually untraceable

    dragging the inert form carefully
    through the doorsteps outside
was the most arduous task -
a red wheelbarrow near a chicken
coop proved its worth beyond relief

dinner had been rather nice and the
    poison quite effective and swift

    incriminating belongings were
removed from the body: cell phone,
watch, sorority ring... no need for
    temptation to pawn or otherwise
profit by them, they fit nicely in the
septic cleanout - a most fitting end

quicksand would have been her ideal
choice for concealment - a fanciful
thought of disposal where all that
remained was a cloche hat bemused our
protagonist - but was far too intractable

a stolen car, however, would do in a pinch,
towed, then eased into the steeply
sloped lake where it would remain
    concealed for decades - providing
a mystery for future sleuths to ponder

    ... and thus the howering comes to an end;
the blood moon waxes and Xquic sleeps

Lololol! Was nonplussed about what was happening here until I discovered that I had misspelled "hovering", and you taking up the challenge, used an archaic spelling for "hours". Brilliant! That said, your dinner mustn't have been that "nice" yesterday + intensive watching of dark series.

    Challenge accepted!

Next: tears, boulevard, sedan, moonlit, pebbles, breeze

    During the night
The autumn was shedding cold tears on the ground
as a black sedan appeared on the boulevard
its headlamps illuminating the pebbles on the way
which shone ghostly in the dark night.

What was the sedan doing anyway
in front of the haunted old mansion
    at this late hour?

The answer surely rested with the two heavily cloaked figures,
who got out of the car and went into the house
opening the door with a rusty key.
After a while they came out
    and drove away
    silently as they had come.

    Soon the rain ceased and
    the landscape shone silvery
    bathed in the waning moonshine.
A morning breeze began to blow so very softly,
one could almost see the young flowers opening their buds.

Next challenge: airily. fathomless, sunrise, nest, siblings, hourglass.

    Exorcising an old house... enjoyed

Dinner ?: 2-soft tacos, minestrone, and 2-chimichangas. Yes, a bit of googling for "howering" - it just seemed to fit The poem took on a life of its own after my thought of adding the blood moon to the howering and then a wiki of blood moon which led me to the fabled Xquic. The black web and crypto and cars in lakes come from recent news stories. Googled for a style of woman's hat gave me "cloche hat" where I had an epiphany for the "quicksand" stanza. Glad you enjoyed

Next: rays, susurrus, falling, aspen, paraffin, butterfly

    The Saucy Butterfly

    Extending her wings provokingly
in the direction of the sun
    bathing in the golden rays
soaring high and higher over the sussurous
    of the aspen trees.

No, her wings are no glued with paraffin,
like those of the unlucky Ikarus
    once where.
    No, the world is hers
not even the sky is the limit.

Beautiful poem... S1 really stands out

    Challenge accepted !

Challenge: gold, murmur, bottomless, screening, eventide, camel

"The Bright and Morning Star" / Revelations

The murmur of a lone camel far away
    carries over desert golden sands
leading to a far and distant Samarkand
    as eventide's lazy overture proclaims

The bottomless depths of a revealed
universe soon bursts into view -
and comes a new screening of the
heavens by poets and seekers of truth

A bright star appears out of Jacob
heralding our dear Savior's holy birth

    Giraffe in starlight

    A closed zoo
Ah but they forgot to lock the door,
    Of this sleeping zoo.

    On one of the enclosures
    one perceives
the lonely profile of a giraffe
lit to perfection by the starlight.
    In it´s stillnes.
might be a figure made out of bronze

    Out of nowhere
    a ghostly roller appears

Thanx I trimmed the poem of the last two lines since you last read.

    Beautiful African tableau: "one perceives
the lonely profile of a giraffe
lit to perfection by the starlight.
    In it´s stillnes.
might be a figure made out of bronze
    or stone."

I liked that the roller put in but a brief appearance before flying away as if not to spoil the mood

Challenge: vernacular, sweetness, raccoons, spring, gnomes, jumping

by the light of the moon

natty was one of a family of garden gnome
ofttimes left her manicured garden home
to visit with friendly har-rento umescos
in gnomic vernacular, or raccoons - those
masked old-agile souls; as agile in solving
puzzles as with clever-handedness in washing
food in nearby springs, that just amazed natty

jumping together in play natty and tattie
(her har-rento umesco best friend) would
    annoy the færies who misunderstood
their nightly frivolity in the woods as they
searched for plump berries by the way
the divine sweetness they vastly coveted
when an alarm went out, loudly trumpeted

the færies hearing from fervid fireflies that
the two had wandered too far whereat
har-rento umescos and færies and gnomes
hurriedly assembled from out of their homes
to search fen, bog, and the odd hollowed log
when they were found at the home of a frog
playing at skittles by the light of the moon
