EnjoyedL4 has me puzzled with "i" starting the line. I will use "i" on occasion to diminish myself or to keep with an overall non-capitalized form. Perhaps a finger slip ?
Looking forward to the new challenge

Lol! The 'i" was just a rest of a deleted sentence, and as you know, editing on Litnet is only possible if the software is in the right humor.
Oh, heck!
Senior episodes in series, forgot the challenge again.
Here it is: banner, lustrous, epic, reinventing, ephemeral, lantern.
"I seemed to have sensed also from an early age that some of my experiences as a reader would change me more as a person than would many an event in the world where I sat and read. "
Gerald Murnane, Tamarisk Row
resolute
a banner year we desired
and certain resolutions
to be kept
not reinventing the wheel
- small changes;
till lustrous
epic in scope
our hope is in
our resilience
we are, after all,
ephemeral as light
in lanterns by day

"we are, after all,

Enjoyed your poem very much, but I am not quite sure what is "a banner year", an outstanding year?
Will be back to meet the new challenge.
"I seemed to have sensed also from an early age that some of my experiences as a reader would change me more as a person than would many an event in the world where I sat and read. "

Challenge: reason, peel, crosswalk, houseplant, agile, memory
With neither Rhyme nor Reason
a peeled orange
walks arm in arm
with a houseplant
on the crossroad,
jamming the traffic.
and atracting
curious glances.
as the lights change
they disappear
with such agility,
that the bystanders
rub their eyes.
What the heck was this?
A vision, a memory
a hallucination?

lol...
Challenge #1: ashamed, forget, commerce, ombudsman, spring, wood
Dandelion Whine
The hierarchal marching chairs were ashamed
- brass complaints went to the thrombudsman
not forgotten in the commerce of the cacophony
of bands; woodwinds to the wombudsman, and so
on... a Spring tradition of weeding out dandelions -
while beautiful and edible are quite tone deaf

Challenge #2: lose, loud, entertainment, prairie, grievous, settlement
consequences
loud entertainment
enclosed prairie settlement
grievous consequence

Next: posture, forest, tiger, alarm, steward, mist

Lol...two poems
Enjoyed both but
1st poem: are dandelions edible for humans?
2nd poem: Elegant and concise telegram style, only "lose" remained somewhat lose.
Next: posture, forest, tiger, alarm, steward, mist
Mystery in the mist
The challenging posture
of the tiger
in the forest
alarmed the steward.
Then mist enveloped the scene
including the steward.
New challenge: olympic, constellation, endorse, underdog, limp, accept.

Challenge: olympic, constellation, endorse, underdog, limp, accept
Olympic Færieland
Accepted within a færieland of mists, fern,
and driftwood wanderers joyously roam
an Olympic Coast jewel within the bright
constellation that is Washington state
Endorsed by limpid-eyed woolgatherers who
meander cold lucid tidal pools like exuberant
flower children in search of a new high - whilst
limpets hector underdog denizens in their path

Lol... as used in prefacing my poem Belling the Poet: "Why should poetry have to make sense?" - Charlie Chaplin... merely an homage with my tangled words of a park in Washington state... prolly best relegated to the Nonsense Poetry thread.
re: forgotten - I had forgotten a form of forget, then on further perusal didn't forget to edit with forgotten![]()
