Interesting picture of a woman living in a cold country among cats and books.
Challenge accepted: pen, piano, sea, society, mosaic, breath.

    Mosaic

A piano playing by itself on the high sea
its keys moved by the heavy breath of the wind.
    Far from the maddening society
my pen surfs on the white paper
    engendering mosaics.

Next challenge: wild, withered, song, summer, drums, future.

    Enjoyed your synthesis!

Accepting the challenge: pottery, collage, sharp, elapse, bold, pace

    Collage

    Pieces of pottery
    grace the old furniture
    Vintage atmosphere
Life elapses at a bold pace
    But time stands still
    ignoring the scattered pieces
    glued together
and the sharp contours of the frame.

New chalenge: cosmonaut, rendition, logic, wary, stealthy, frolicking.

    Wonderful "Collage" !

Challenge: cosmonaut, rendition, logic, wary, stealthy, frolicking

Laika / a Triversen style poem

"Quiet and charming" Laika was the logical
choice of a trio of cosmonaut dogs to be
the first to orbit the earth in the name of science

Mushka was chosen to stay behind on earth
as the control dog with whom to compare
the mass of data received from cold space

Albina, as backup, had already ridden inside
a rocket, twice!, successfully recovered before
Laika's flight - which was sadly to be one way

Thus in the name of science Laika's nose was
affectionately kissed and she wished bon voyage
before her capsule was closed... then whoosh!

In retrospect Laika's heroic sacrifice in space
was deemed egregious - though yielding some
necessary science as a precursor for man's flight

This once wary and stealthy dog of the streets
in one rendition was last seen frolicking over
the rainbow bridge with quite the doggy tale to tell

Next: beach, loop, asking, mystery, glass, parrot

edited out (S1): Of the dogs groomed to go into the beyond
Laika's phlegmatic demeanor put her a wet
nose ahead of her comrades Albina and Mushka

One canīt even imagine the anguish of such an animal lonely in a closed capsule in the space. Itīs not their choice! I like that the poem reflects about this. And I like the hopeful last strophe.

Challenge accepted, have to think a bit about it.

"One canīt even imagine the anguish of such an animal lonely in a closed capsule in the space. Itīs not their choice!"... Agreed. In my research I read about many other animals in space research including one famous French kitty who survived her launch and re-entry only to... I'll leave it at that . Evidently we've evolved to where tardigrades are the current sacrifice of choice: "One small step for man... "

    Looking forward to your offering

Next: beach, loop, asking, mystery, glass, parrot

    A mystery
    A wondrous beach
Surfers flying above the high waves
    in ingenious loops
landing softly on the ever ruffled
    surface of the sea.

But what has this to do
    with the parrot that
    discovered himself
    in the looking glass
    asking unanswerable questions?

Challenge:marsh, abstract, close, voyage, sanctuary, unleash

    In March

In March the marsh in dry countries
    is abstract.
    In my country it is
i a dire reality when all storms
    are unleashed.
One doesnīt want to come too close.
    One prefers voyaging
    to a santuary.
