    Delightful poem ! Enjoyed

Challenge: silence, earth, restless, domain, awareness, dove

    the singularity

    like doves
    the world
    moaned - then
    silence as
    a once
    restless Earth
    finds relief -

    a new
    awareness takes
    her first
    breath then
    beholds her
    domain through
    counterfeit tears

Modest Symphony in Green and Yellow

Each afternoon when the sun is getting down
and I sit on my small balcony
I hear the song of the sabiá laranjeira.

    There are miriads of them
    hidden in the few trees
    that are left.

Night falls so gently to their song
(but what about the police cars racing through the streets?)

    Filtered through a prism
    the world looks serene.

But who is going to speak about
    the horrors of the night?
    The drunken cars,
    the lost bullets,
    the violence?

The thrush has long gone to sleep
and I gaze with renewed wonder and delight
    at the starlight.

Enjoyed very much Beautiful bird song. Lovely epigraph prefacing your poem The dichotomy of delightful birdsong and urban life is well versed. Loved the last stanza: "The thrush has long gone to sleep / and I gaze with renewed wonder and delight / at the starlight." !

A corredted version of the poem in # 752 as I detected an in-congruence at the end

Challenge: raw, plenty, Andromeda, cardboard, streaming, stone landscape

    Cosmic Revenge: A Love Story

Andromeda grinned as she passed through with
savage raw power; gravitational forces straining
stars and planetary stone landscapes become
as wet cardboard paste into the furnaces of Hades
    - spewed out as elemental particles streaming
into rival merging black holes shrieking aloud

Kraken had been beloved of Andromeda - how
curious the cosmic reality versus mythology, and
thus her revenge upon the Milky Way as they
merged, as it were, as one - a barred spiral in the
end - with what plenty remained of Andromeda
embracing the remains of Kraken forevermore

    4/29/2024

    * "The Milky Way galaxy and the nearby Andromeda Galaxy are moving toward each other at about 130 km/s, and—depending upon the lateral movements—the two might collide in about five to six billion years. Although the Milky Way has never collided with a galaxy as large as Andromeda before, it has collided and merged with other galaxies in the past.[190] Cosmological simulations indicate that, 11 billion years ago, it merged with a particularly large galaxy that has been labeled the Kraken.[191][192]" - Wikipedia

Under the Sign of the Scorpion

    A mysterious urn aban-
    doned in a forgotten nook.
    Shaded by a amaranth flower
    it leads a shadowy exixtence,
    seemingly condemned
    to an oblivion,
    threadbare reason
    doesn´t explain.

    But no, the fresh marks
    of candlewax
    suggest secret rituals.

    the ensorcell

    anciently ensorcells were profusely utilized.
færie children innately practiced with them
long before being weaned from wet food.
a vast portfolio was established and published
by a wizarding gnome, a run of one now on
display at an enchanted kiosk beneath a
stone footbridge in the wood where it is oft
sourced by lovers and dreamers alike who've
shown to be in possession of a pure heart

Challenge: lilacs, corner, plentiful, wanderlust, drops, magic

    an impromptu wanderlust

heady lilacs lined the baby tears' path
    of an impromptu wanderlust -
blossoms not yet turned to rust
    their heavenly fragrance hath

    a færie magic wholly ensorcelled
me and I danced with unbounded joy
so much as to the sun's utter annoy-
    ment; dark clouds soon dispelled

my pleasant mood with plentiful drops
of sylvan rain - thus soaked.
I espied a wee cottage cloaked
    within a privet's verdant copse

after rounding a corner and knocked
upon its door... shortly a sleepy eyed
tawny frogmouth in bedclothes did guide
me to a modest low chamber stocked

with a repast provisioned for a lord
and I ate ravenously for who knew
what the morrow would bring hitherto
then slept within a dream secured -

I dreamt of færie lords surrounding
me in a dell after dismounting their
    dragonflies, their lances laid bare
of malice I pondered upon this astounding

turn of events, I, a lone traveler within
a dream no less my courage did take
and faced the princes and kings and spake,
as to equals, what their purpose was herein

laughter lifted and filled the færie dell -
I was amazed at their glad countenances
for such are poems written of - of chances
when the lost are found - who can foretell ?
