Challenge: festival, barn, leaves, track, intense, fragments

    progress

down the beaten track of time
fragments of memories of a barn
    where festivals were once held
where when one left they left
with the one who brought them

down the beaten track of time
    all intense and purposeless
    leaves jostled with the wind
in the fall before the developers
came and bulldozed it all down

    Tints and Tinsel

    Pensively
    shrugging off
    the waste words:
    gossip, garbage,ghettos, gutters..
    Welcoming the saving words:
    iris, needles, cloudless skies!
    Certainly pears!
    Certainly peace!

    amorphous undertones

    amorphous undertones
    the way of the deer
    in high mountain meadows
where God would have us walk
    in discovery without fear

(Sorry!I wrote but forgot posting the answer above yesterday)

    So here goes:

    The life of a poem

    The tireless retinue
    of refined words
    encrypted by time
    materialize
    magnetically
    on the palm
    of your hand

    Little fairies, pucks, djinns
    your fingers move them
    ever so softly.
    They have something
    to say,
    to show,
    to imply,
    above all
    to encrypt again,
    to sink again
    into
    the vast oblivion of time
    until summoned forth
    again!

Next: Autumn, colors, birds, squirrels, blossom, heartily.

    Autumn cannot come too soon

    Autumn cannot come too soon
the colors we so warmly desire
    goldens, yellows, and browns
    supplant the vibrant blossoms
    heartily hoped for in Spring
and sustained in most part to
    delight squirrels and birds

    The essential ballet
    quenches our thirst
    for art,
    for the gracious movement.

    Dance has
    the lightness of a hummingbird,
    the intensity of a flame,
    the majesty of a princess.

    Next:storm, sun, Neptune, tortoises,flow, evolve.

Challenge: storm, sun, Neptune, tortoises, flow, evolve

    Red Dawn on Triton

Red dawn, a storm was brewing -
    massive creatures, akin to
    tortoises, evolved from a
    teeming blue planet destroyed
    in the red giant expansion,
    sought refuge in hospitable seas

    Effortlessly they flowed through
    waving blue fronds in the
    effervescent fluidity common
    to the massive moon Triton
    revolving the 5th planet from
    the sun - Neptune

    Storms were welcome - they
    stirred up creatures from the
    depths which in turn attracted
    mariner bipeds to venture out
    from the firmaments they called
home - easy prey once capsized

    Winter at 33º

Thor in wrath at earth's destruction
    has relinquished all his control
    on temperature.

    in the cities, boulevards
That used to glitter under the sun
loaded with the liveliness of people,
now groan deserted under the weight of snow.
In the forests little animals scurry
    through and fro
    not knowing where to hide
    from fire, frost and flood.

    Yet there is still
    much uninspired,
    passive,
    looking out of
    windows,
    with the secret hope
    that the moment of destruction
    will pass just by itself
    at a snap of fingers.
    It won´t!

Challenge: tiles, wonder, infancy, realms, explode, round

"We cannot even recollect the actions of our infancy, our childhood is like something written on a slate and rubbed off." - Vinoba Bhave

    upon a blank slate

what a wonder infancy is -
    a time very few remember
'round about age zero, in the

    western canon, an exchange
of realms occurs as a being,
    or beings, transitions

    from womb to cradle and
    feedings and cleanings
    and hoped for sleepings

    an intimate dependency
    upon parenting commences
    involving all six senses

    cooing, cuddling, and making
    faces embracing all of God's
    graces enshrined with love

    milestone after milestone
pass by in a blur and soon
    a personality blooms

    unique to the universe
    a mobile explorer under foot
    exploding with laughter or

    tantrums where anything
    within reach become projec-
    tiles at a babbling whim

    A vision

    It seems
    we have lost
    our thirst of harmony

    Though some of
    the aim at perfection
    still persists,
    all we have got,
it's a picture broken in mosaics.
