Sat on your swing
Sucking a cigarette
White dress with violets
Clinging your body
In linen
I knew you'd kill me
I freeze framed you on a backward swing
Hair drifted in the air,
Young skin
And butterflies.
I'm swinging in the gallows
Dancing for my peers
In ancient darkness, to jeers,
You in the afternoon sun
With dog s hit beneath your
Converse
Blowing smoke
To a dandelion clock
Three o'clock
The red admiral agrees
The pretty birds are dieing
In the trees.
Dead dogs dragged across hungry grass
By their leads,
I knew all along
From the very first day.
You'd kill me.
