    Friday afternoon

I am sitting at the end

    of an empty bar

    looking at cotton candy clouds

    through the window

    and a thousand

    black birds wheeling outside

    like children, who won't

    come home to dinner

    These long nights and

    days without dates

A glass in front of me

    filled with alcohol, water, ice

I do not have to be anywhere

    Proof of my existence?

    Nothing but.

Really enjoyed this little vignette. Maybe you jotted it down on a square bar napkin. Cheers!

    Enjoyed that poetic snapshot, Tony!
