    For a future ex-lover

    Memory from the past…

    I pray it won’t rain
for you are slippery when wet,
    and even high and dry
    the way you’ll leave me
    you’re hard to grasp

    will you remember when
    I handed you my opal
    milky white with
    every colour of the
    loving rainbow?

why did you give me back
    an aquamarine?
to keep me safe at sea?
or was it just another treasure
    from your siren chest?

will you remember how I sat down
and wept? will you? will I?
    it’s strange, but even now
    while I’m composing
    my dirge for our love

    I feel you slip away…
"Im Arm der Liebe schliefen wir selig ein…" ("Liebesode" - Otto Erich Hartleben)

That´s beautiful, Dieter. It´s good to hear from you!

I enjoyed but it felt self pitying. Self pity should be avoided at all times. Its one of the few adages I truly believe in and would encourage belief in. We are the choices we have made.

    For those who believe,
    no explanation is necessary.
    For those who do not,
    none will suffice.

Bon Jovi comes to mind... great songs in the album of the same name in L2.
    1. "Let It Rock"
    2. "You Give Love a Bad Name"
    3. "Livin' on a Prayer"
    4. "Social Disease"
    5. "Wanted Dead or Alive"
    6. "Raise Your Hands"
    7. "Without Love"
    8. "I'd Die for You"
    9. "Never Say Goodbye"
    10. "Wild in the Streets"

    A time, a vibe.

"Opal has always been associated with love and passion, as well as desire and eroticism. It is a seductive stone that intensifies emotional states and releases inhibitions. It can also act as an emotional stabilizer. Wearing an opal is said to bring about loyalty and faithfulness."

"Aquamarine is also associated with tranquility, serenity, clarity, and harmony. As the first of the spring birthstones, the sea blue crystal represents transformation and rebirth. It embodies youthful vitality, purity, loyalty, hope, and truth."

    Passion & tranquility / Fire & water / Seduction & rebirth...

    Some interesting symbolism.
