    Pedagogy and History

    Requiem assigned
    virgin, penitent minds
    shackled to words
    with rimming pictures
    that shutter the lens
    storybook clutter
    now dead men talk
    their calcified bones
    dance on the canvas
    suborned to copy
    pairing adolescent angst
    to itinerant shills
    their indelible souls now
    entomed in fine print
    as contemporary shadows
    in languid apathy
    hover o'er their wake

    Some great lines there.

"shackled to words." How many times have we felt that?

"as contemporary shadows / in languid apathy / hover o'er their wake." Let that run around your brain for imagery.

Thank you so much for your start to my day.

    Best wishes.
