Backs against the winter's slanted light
In fallow fields we cast seperate long shadows.
Silhouetted in gold we're as black as night
and the cold has driven us to sleep within ourselves.
As my hand reaches for your remnant of life
Fingers carress the void's steely air
"Better this way" I think to myself.
Lacking warmth, they had no warmth more to spare.
The sun fades and we two are gone,
yet together as one we exist here.
For me, i feel, it is enough
and I beg the sun to never reappear.
