    pendulum

    desires
    strength to a sire
    can turn
    empire
    solid
    abysmal
    or entire
    tangent higher
    oblique fire
    reap
    weed into seed
    to stir breed
    growth speeds
    degrees freeze
    balance
    feelings
    to spin words
    into meanings
    letters beam
    to ceilings
    any movement cast
    pendulum mast
    blasts
    fast
    it makes them last
    they have learned to challenge
    the past.

    Enjoyed

"Pendulum" is a word that evokes an old song I recall by Roger Miller (American humorist); its refrain is:
"England swings like a pendulum do
Bobbies on bicycles, two by two
Westminster Abbey, the tower of Big Ben
The rosy-red cheeks of the little children"

England pronounced: En-ge-land if I recall.

If I read your poem right... The Empire and its heirs through thick and thin: "they have learned to challenge
the past."... and hopefully learn from it.

    Ta ! (short for tarradiddle),

what if I were to bare my soul
    would you see me origami

I like the abstract nature of the words. The flurry of rhymes so close to each other made the poem whiz by.

    Thanks
