    And now what

    Me up at dawn
    in the silence

    feet on floor
    I stare
    at windowed ocean

    a nested bird

    nearby

    asks me, "What
    have you done that

    I wouldn't have?"

    This piece sent me to the "Google" machine to look up the poet who only used adding machine paper to keep his lines short. I couldn't remember his name, but it was (and is) A.R. Ammons. In any event the lines here (as well as your earlier posts) reminded me of this award-winning writer's M.O.

    Yes. Confessional writing is perhaps the best natural reservoir of writing. Hell, all art is self-portraiture, in some form.
