Who sent the cough around the kingdom?
Who sent the lurgy round the land?
Who's been about the place carrying on -
and not washing their hands!
Who sent the nasty round the nation?
Who sneezed the snotty round the state?
If it's you, stick up your dirty mitt -
and set the record straight!
Look what you've done dear,
our country's in a quandary -
people ran and hid here,
each day is spent on laundry!
Bleach and anti bacterial gel,
couldn't wipe your slate clean for the throne you've earned in hell!
Everybody's sickly,
so you'd better own up quickly -
you mean little horrid wickle thing!
You can bet your four leaf clover,
the UK's troubles wont be over
'til the fat lady's on her balcony to sing!
Who sent the cough around the kingdom?

Feels like a good ol Renaissance style scolding, best way to avoid blood on your hands is to keep them clean. A fun nursery rhythm for guidance for proper handwashing, at least it isnt as tragic as Ring Around the Rosy. Its a nice comical relief from all the political and more serious finger wagging. Best to do what each and every one of us can to protect ourselves and others. Hygiene standards sure have bumped up from the Medieval Ages, we shall survive. Take care, stay safe
