Let's Get R*t*rded - Black Eyed Peas
@ Dante80: I agree. I wish to read Thus Spake Zarathustra by Nietsche.
If the main site can't be bothered to host Public Domain content that they're not currently hosting, then they sure as hell won't host any books of an author who only died in the late eighties.
@ firefangled: Actually, it's one Autistic's viewpoint, and doesn't convey the experiences of all of us. 'If you've seen one case of Autism, you've seen 'em all.' An NT suffering from Ignorance...
Something I'm going to put on a t-shirt: I don't need Autism Awareness, Autism Acceptance will do just fine.
An ad for Fallout: New Vegas: Humans, Super Mutants, and Ghouls. Nom, nom!
I couldn't create a link in my signature when I was a newbie, I had to create a prescribed number of posts first.
What movie's that in, then?
@ Atheist: Actually, you're wrong. Big Brother being at war with first one country and then joining them as allies reflects Britain joining with Russia to fight Hitler after giving him all that power...
I came up with this while playing Fallout 3, "Confucius say: In order to defeat the mightiest opponent, all you need are courage, tenacity, and a Big F***ing Gun."
Unless a post is discussing something, asking for help, or requesting that copyrighted books be hosted on the main site, it will be ignored by site staff. That is what I have discovered.
Pattern.
@ AuntShecky and Jassy Melson: You are both correct. @ everyone else: Google 'Berne Convention' for confirmation and further details.
@ Astrid1968: Your English isn't bad, but it is a bit hard for me and, I imagine, for others to follow.
So I can copy them the way that I am (cell phone open in front of me, typing the text into my PC). Thanks for the clarification, Logos. Publisher's copyright means that I can copy the words, but the...
While the story needs an English editor and we all need an explanation of what a 'Hyves' is, these points did not spoil my enjoyment of the story very much at all.
I don't think mine will be altered, either. I've had it since I joined and no mod has found a problem with it so far, so it must be within the regulations.
The original works hosted on this site might be Public Domain, but that doesn't prevent the site owners claiming publisher's copyright, the status of which I have tried and failed to ascertain.
Since no-one has seen fit to answer my question, I am going to proceed on the basis that silence denotes consent.
@ The Atheist: My opinion is unpopular amongst followers of the Neurodiversity movement, which is why I've moved away from them to start the True Neurodiversity movement. They think all of us should...
You can read this book at ebooksread.com, but the spelling, grammar, and punctuation are not the best. Mrs. Burnett originally wrote it in 1888, but it was re-published two years later when it was...
I only have one unpopular opinion, and it is this: Being Autistic is nothing to be proud of, it is simply a fact of who I am, like the fact that I'm a human being.
Thank you for making it clear, Logos. Of course, I would never abuse the privilege, because I like having it.
The texts hosted on the main site. The stories by L. Frank Baum, for example.
But links in signatures appended to PMs aren't spam, right? Because the link in my sig is to one of my favourite (genuine) sites.
Am I allowed to freely copy any texts that are hosted on this site, or do the site owners claim publisher's copyright on them so that I must ask for their permission?
