This is the first novel I read in English and remember how I suffered with it .
I don't think either he is a great man , he was following blindly his dreams . I think of him more as a tragic figure .

no the dog hasn't two owners
Thank u all for your reading. It motivates me to write more and more.
Like a dog in front of his master's door
Turning endlessly around himself
Trying to catch his tail
Am waiting
Biting, cracking, shewing and swallowing
My dirty nails
Dreaming of a daily walk...
thank you cz you made laugh

Hello Jerrybaldy
The repetition has to do with the obsessive behavior. The obsession with the smell and the idea itself .
Thx for your reading and comment
And I scratch nervously the trembling lines,
I slay the white wrinkled papers,
I cut off mercilessly the head of words,
as if to get revenge of them.
I' m pretty sure,
There exists something,...
very powerful imagery
I liked the closing lines; they are thought provoking .
Thanks for sharing such " beauty " with us .
I like Greek names from mythologies
That would be Helene or Sophia
someone said writing " is a bridge between two hearts"
Well , to me it might be very true indeed
Thank you all for your time ad reading.
It's up to the reader to interpret the poem as he / she feels.
This is what keeps the poem alive. The writer's intention is not important here.
can't stop the feeling.

suppose one could also say, "I smell good therefore I exist."
Allow me to differ with you .One can't say I smell good therefore I exist.
Smelling good is " unnatural process" . you only smell...
This is your transparent soul that allows you to feel the sadness behind the irony.
I really appreciate any comment .
Thanks for your time and reading
pleasure to meet u .
It's good then to ask some friends here to help u with the language before posting it .
Regards,
yeh but my question is how he considered the act of beheading ethical?
I stink
Therefore
I exist
Says the lady
More Than a fortnight
Without a shower
No drop of water
Will taste my body
No drop of water
Will devour my body
was the poem written in another language then translated to English ?
well , if u believe in the life after death that wouldn't be the case
well, I always ask myself : why should I live? and find no important reasons. Life is precious itself but u should find a reason to live it . Some people have no reasons simply.
Thank u Cacian for this thread .
Although I'm not an artist myself , I do appreciate art more than anything else in life.
I do greatly believe that art is more important even than religion...

or maybe when they get mature enough to understand life itself. This reminds me of Addie's father saying in Faulkner's AS I Lay Dying: the only reason for living is to stay dead for a long time
who said that death is sth bad . This life is a prison and death is the ultimate freedom. The larger group you're part of will carry on in their life after ur death. life won't stop.
remember that Sun Tzu said in his Art of the war: «There is no instance of a country having benefited from prolonged warfare»
someone was talking abt behavior management and spoke abt this book as...
