Is 23 a late age to get into classical music?
I am 22, and will turn 23 next month. Be honest, would it have been better to teach myself a language at an earlier age? Did I choose a late age?
I mostly started this thread because I was curious if bloom was a polyglot since he's read thousands of books and has a superhuman reading at speed.
I meant reading literature from around the world in English, not just English authors.
Does he know any other languages?
I feel guilt about reading only in English. Is one getting a true experience reading world literature in one language, or just a shallow imitation?
Since he is the premier living critic on the western canon, what languages does he know?
