Oh, too many.
Bleak House, David Copperfield, Our Mutual Friend, Nicholas Nickleby all by Charles Dickens.
He Knew He Was Right and The Way We Live Now by Anthony Trollope
The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky
...
Definitely, Zola.
Rachel Ray and Lady Anna by Anthony Trollope. In past month I read even 4 of his novels (American Senator, The Warden, Barchester Towers and He Knew He Was Right) and I find his novels fascinating.
Seth Pecksniff from Martin Chuzzlewit is, maybe, the best Dickens' novel character.
Mr. Grandcourt from Daniel Deronda is one of the most impressive male characters that I've ever encountered in a novel.
I strongly recommend Anthony Trollope.
Going Postal by Terry Pratchett
1. A Hero of Our Time by M.Y. Lermontov
2. The Bosnian Chronicle by Ivo Andrić
3. The Brothers Karamazov by F.M. Dostoevsky
4. The Forsyte Saga by John Galsworthy
5. Our Mutual Friend by Charles...

Yes, I agree with you on Dmitri's sense of honour, however, Brynner acts like a king or pharaoh (remember his role as Ramses II) with every move, every gesture being hardly thought of, Dmitri is a...
It seems to me that in Fyodor and Dmitri's case we can use the phrase: like father, like son. The only difference is in the fact that Fyodor is cunning and Dmitri is frank.
Although I like Yul Brynner very much, I don't think he was cut for the role of Dmitri. Yul's posture is too dignified, too proud. It isn't the way I pictured Dmitri at all. For me, Dmitri is an...
