Happy Birthday Virgil! I'm sorry, I'm a couple of months late. I don't suppose that fits into the "fashionably late" realm. I hope you had an enjoyable day. I can only access a minimal amount of this...
Add me to your fan club. This is a keeper. I've always enjoyed your poetry too. Good to see you again.
The whole poem is a fun read, like this...
"then turn to Italy, her eyes of tawny pools, and say,
You and I are going dancing with Brazil."
Clever opening...
"As I turn left off Oxford Street
cloaked in a low sky and shuffling
along with the other furrowed brows"
and this...
"A sudden hiss of wind
angrily flaps my jacket, and

thinking how sweet this poem is
until the end...and fell off my chair!
tee hee, thanks for waking me up on this lazy...
I liked "everyone wants to be the hymn". Well done cacian!
Excellent Tony. Your use of metaphors and similes are intriguing.
These are all good Biggus! And these lines just roll off the tongue...
"As we stroll along the muddy puddled paths
That dissect the lush green pasture
Very clever and unique!

So many tender memories for but a moment in time. Very touching and well penned Mr. Harrington. Take care of that soft heart of yours.

Hi Biggus, I've been away and have missed your talented input here. I've always loved sea ballads not unlike yours (although shorter)..."The Fierce Winter Gales". Very well written and powerful. I...
Excellent personification of a very original idea, lawrencelpy! One of my favorite lines was "I am no longer arrogant. I accept X, Y and Z. I especially love Y, as I love you." Your first paragraph...
