Yes, I'll be making great use of this site in the very near future... I get to be a...
All of Bradbury's work tends to read like poetry.... just lovely!

Woo hoo! Beowulf! Chant with me:
un-know, un-known, un-known...
:D

Beowulf rocks. 'Nuff said.

I'm such a traditionalist.... I like to have the actual, physical book in my hand. The weight, the pages, the print.... tis a sacred thing. I'm also not a huge fan of audio books, the human voice...
I absolutely love Fahrenheit 451! After reading it, the word "book" has become almost sacred! I definitely agree that you should read the Martian Chronicles...... quality stuff!

Ooooooooo...... definately Beowulf. Can't explain it, just love it :D . I'm also a fan of almost anything by Bradbury, he's so poetic and I'm a sucker for it!

Tried it..... didn't work.
My stupid computer must be to blame. It makes such a nice, inanimate scapegoat ;)

Every time I come here, I chack the little box for automatic login, but it never seems to work. Am I doing something wrong or is it just not working properly?

Poor Sydny! I loved that guy! And to think, he died just so that Bigshot could run off with Bubblehead.....

THANK YOU! We are poor... and this site is a great break!

NO WAY!!! Man, am I out of the loop....
~Kris
Just loverly! I'm particulary fond of the italics function...

Ooooohhhhh.... good point, KT! Well argued, in my opinion :)

Isn't he still alive?
Hear, hear!

I can't contain it any longer....
I LOVE BRADBURY!
The man weaves poetry into every sentence and image in everything he writes. Two words: Beautiful Language.

I'm no expert, and I'm currently in the middle of the book (great so far!), but it sounds like Orwell was just having a little trouble fitting everything he wanted to say into one coherent sentence. ...
I'm sorry, I couldn't resist... Beowulf rocks! Just wish I knew Old English...

That'd be cool... also very helpful from the student's point of veiw. It's always nice to see what other people think and it will often point you in a more fruitful direction.

Been wondering the same thing, mortalfool...
I'm here. Talk to me. Gerber baby bubble butt.

Even though I didn't much like the book, I positively fell in love with Sydny Carton... I always fall for the pathetic geniuses...
Then they killed him.

I second that motion! I've been wanting to read that for ages, but it was just never conveniant. Also, I live in a small town and it's never in the bookstores. Thank you!

Ummm... not a Dickens fan. Personally, most of his stuff could use some major editing. I guess long-windedness is what you get when you pay authors by the word (true story):-)

I'm not sure if this counts with the content of the rest of this site, but I'd love to see Beowulf added to the ranks. It's really beautiful and there must be a good translation in the public...
