2 - What did Jonson think of Shakespeare?
This question seems familiar to me from the exam of English Literary Criticism.
But i have a different answer to this question.I know about John Dryden's criticism on both Jonson and Shakespeare. In "An Essay Of Dramatic Essay",he criticises both Jonson and Shakespeare by saying for Shakespeare: " has the most comprehensible soul",when compared to Shakespeare,Jonson is"the most learned and judicious writer which any theatre ever had"and Jonson is also :" the more correct poet but the greater wit"
I dunno if it will help u.
