sorry, but the doc's been away for awhile...
probably a little late to reply to all his private messages from the fan base...but if you want to re-send them again the doc will try to be a little bit more diligent with the replies...
remember that even if the country doctor rambles, it's all in good fun...
this is still country doc country...
women make a fool out of the doc...
the doc loves the women he loves 'em all the same
the doc loves the women he loves 'em all the same
but he don't love nobody well enough to change her name
the women make a fool out of the doc...
the doc's come down with a cold...
that's right, he fell victim to that bane of existence, the common cold...now the doc knows that most of you think that he's indestructable, but he is still made of flesh and blood and as such these things can sometimes happen to even the doc...
but never fear, the doc does have a remedy to whup up on a cold (after all, he is the country doctor...) and it's doing the job ever so nicely...just about completely whupped, even though it attacked the doc's immune system only on last friday...
now this is what the doc does to get back in tip top shape asap...
1. he takes a 100 milligrams of vitamin c in tablet form daily to make sure that he's got plenty of that going through the system from the start...
2.he follows that up with citrus fruit for the powerful one-two punch...this time it was grapefruit, but the doc knows that oranges work just as well...two a day of the grapefruit right now...
3.plenty of fluids...the doc prescribes water and tea in excess of 64 fluid oz...with a 60/40 split water over tea for the doc's formula right now...
4. the doc is quite liberal with getting the vicks out...he coats the chest and throat a couple of times a day with a wee bit under the nose to let that vital ingredient start to work it's wonders...
5. ibuprofin every four hours to fight possible aches and pains...
6. finally, the doc isn't afraid to sweat out that cold with exercise...he doesn't let the cold slow him down, but in fact keeps going just as hard as he does on a non-cold day...for example, today the doc biked 33 miles at a 12 mile an hour pace...on saturday he jogged 45 minutes followed up with a 45 minute walk...whatever your exercise routine is, don't stop because you've been slowed down with a cold...breaking a sweat is one of the best things you can do to send that virus packing...
this has worked for the doc and it will work for you...his cold is pretty much gone right now and he's gotta admit he's gonna miss those sneezes...one of the pleasures of having a head cold is that rapid fire four, five or even six in a row sneeze attack...a true sensory enjoyment...
no need to thank the doc for his remedy...just doing his part to make the world a little better place to be...
savvy?
