Love can also be described as Belonging.
When two people love, then they have a sense of belonging. There is someone who cares, who is ready to sacrifice for you, who is spontaneous with you (It is of course followed by lot of initial pretending).
You belong when the passions are running high or there is tranquility.
We belong to God, God belongs to us.
A mother feels that the child is hers. The child feels that mother if for her/him.

That wouldn't be a definition - that would be a synonym. And if you could find a synonym you'd be no wiser because it would have to have exactly the same meaning as the word you wanted a definition for, which you couldn't know to be true without having previously agreed a definition against which to assess synonyms.
On the other hand, if there is a way in which the question makes sense, I'm prompted to write this....
I think you need to provide a definition of 'definition'.
...which is quite a satisfyingly circular thing to be able to do.
