I love to read all books except for love romances and westerns, as those were all my mom read, which I therefore read growing up. I read all books, especially the Bible and on language usage, I like historical, archaeological, true crime, etc. I love word play and word origins, etc. I read dictionaries and encyclopedias for fun. I do not like television or movies as much as reading and music in the background. I love to find use for my mind, because as I age, it is one of the things I see not going downhill as my body has physically. But I am not a couch potato with a remote. I work at being "sharper" than a tack, so that as those who study the brain have stated, it keeps mental facilities up and running much longer. Puzzles and mind challenges are also things I do. Discussions on readings is not something I had done myself, but rather would post since 2000 online the things I had come across or had to say personally. I love researching topics and I love people, so perhaps this place full of great reads and great readers is a great new gift for myself for my Birthday.
Here's to many discussions and you getting to know me better... and me just getting to know "you". Better ?
