Favorite Author:: I primarily read history books, particularly mid-19th century American, but my favorite fiction writers include Twain, Joyce, Faulkner and Steinbeck.

Favorite Book:: Killer Angels by Michael Shaara, largely because I'm a Civil War and Gettysburg fanatic. Shaara was a great writer/storyteller.

Biography:: The book isn't finished yet, but most of my chapters are behind me!

Interests:: History (mid-19th century America in particular) and left of center politics.
