  1. Thank you! My high school doesn't really take the humanities seriously, so it's great to be able to talk online about things I can't in person. Sadly, the only subjects I have much interest in are the humanities (I'm also a classical saxophonist and conductor of a small ensemble). It's pretty ironic, actually: I feel I can talk more openly about things online to strangers than at school to people I'm supposed to know (im gay for one thing, but transcending sexuality is such an important theme in most lit that it's unlikely im gonna get harassed much here for it, so i can openly talk about connections I feel to Baldwin, Whitman, etc. And who knows? Maybe I'll meet somebody). ^_^ Thanks for your interest.
