  1. It's a tough one to say that accurately, it changes all the time. The one that never changes is Orson Welles as my complete favorite. Other than that, it's usually something like this:

    1. Orson Welles
    2. Alfred Hitchcock
    3. Federico Fellini
    4. John Ford
    5. Jean Renoir
    6. Akira Kurosawa
    7. Stanley Kubrick
    8. Carl Dreyer
    9. Jean-Luc Goddard
    10. Ingmar Bergman

Truthfully, out of all of those directors-- I would probably put Dreyer even higher. The only problem with that is, that he did not make enough films. Had he finished his biblical film before he died, then maybe he would stand a chance at being even higher.

The only choices I truly stand by are my top five, other than that it's merely based on mood.

    Who are yout gavorite directors?
  4. I have nothing wrong with that; I've had to do that myself. Some of those films are so rare that you don't really have much of an option.

I hope that you won't look down on me for pirating. Collecting dvds is expensive and its help me films that I would normally have few opurtunities to see due to living in an area where there are no arthouses for miles and I don't have a credit card for ordering online. Plus, I figure it gves some artists a chance to reach a wider audience.
