ABC Company Held a Change of Chairman Ceremony Wonderfully

ABC Company held a change of chairman ceremony wonderfully at 11:00 AM on 11th May, in ABC Company. The general manager of CBA Group, Hua Chun Lin was the supervisor of the ceremony. The original chairman, Chung Wu Liao handed his official seal over to Ke Hsing Liao, to whom the position of chairman was passed on. The ceremony was a success. Mr. Liao undertook the position of the general manager of ABC Company since 1977 and after that the position of the chairman of the same company. He devoted 7 years of his life to this company. During the 7 years, he improved the company itself and expanded its business tremendously. As the general manager of ABC Company, he presided over the establishment of a PDP factory of Taiwan Plastic Industry, which located in Mai Liao, and accomplished the two billion NTD project in ten months only. It was a miracle, an example to be learned by all groups.

Tony, I will describe in length on that topic under another thread title, since A Phone reaches the end, after I deal with today's episode. I am still waiting for some of their replies tonight, to start with my letter to all translation companies in Taiwan. I am sorry, I didn't consult your opinions. Let me give you mine and his. two versions of the same text. Read them and tell me the truth, which I already knew. However I lack descriptions to better address the situation. I was rejected, and offered a better version today.
  4. Yea. I liked the movie and have the dvd. I'm not sure why it never got better reviews/bigger audiences. I thought it was great.

Yeah, thanks for the reply. I have an Achilles heel for big cinema movies like Out of Africa. I'm going to re-watch it.

Hey Tony- How are you? Finished Out of Africa. The prose are beautiful, but the plot was slow. I know it's a memoir and all, but I like some kind of action. Actually there was just enough action to keep me floating along. Dinesen is very intelligent and, for the most part, I enjoyed her outlook on life. I was crushed when Denyse was killed in the plane crash. Her spirit was very uplifting though- she'd had a hard life. I guess she was used to things not working out. Anyway, thanks for listening. Just didn't feel like writing a book review, but wanted to share that I finished the book someone who had read it as well. And yes, the movie is much better than the memoir, although the movie is not exclusively based on the book.

One of my friends told me a few days ago that ability does count, as far as an interpretation opportunity is concerned. Is it true? I was tested of my verbal ability this morning and offered a position of proofreading. I was quite disappointed. She was really amazed by my spoken English. I thought I would be given some opportunities to interprete, but I learned soon that to proofread is what was needed now. Some of those companies told me that I do not have an opportunity to interprete for an academic meeting, because all the interpreters hired are experienced professors. What do you think? Anyway, I did amaze the woman who called me. She works for the big hall, in which conferences are being held. The problem is how I can get an opportunity if nobody is willing to try me and give me an experience?

What is a Proust book? why a feather pen? Do you really mean what you said? Do you want to tell me that it is very likely that I should get such a chance, because, first of all, I do have the ability to speak like a talking book, and secondly, I have the help of my friends, my boyfriend included?

Do I have an opportunity to do oral interpretation for some literature academic meeting, where all people wear headphones, interpreters use microphones in their private rooms above all, if my friends are willing to help me with their best efforts? I do have the ability to do it, though my resume is truly meagre in its length. I've read for many years. I enjoy literature and know a great deal about literature. What do you think?

Do you know how I can get an opportunity to do some fancy interpretations? I do not have a master degree now. I am looking forward to getting one next year, but I want to do interpretations now. What are some of the things I can do? Should I simply give the idea up?
