I was talking about the pale king by david foster wallace
Hi, I see that you read Pale King and wonder if you could give me some feed back in the General Literature section. I read IJ, and just pondering if I want to take on Pale King - or wait a while to read it.
Oh, another thing--when you go on to books--make sure your version matches the one on LitNet. You wouldn't think there would be such a variation, but I got messed up recently. The book of Oliver Twist I had combined two chapters differently, so I wound up with two less chapters...and Don Quixote I got really messed up on because my book combined several chapters into one. So it has been a mess.
Actually, I used to be more possessive of the Dickens...but I've opened up a second career with selling on Ebay, which is going quite well. So, I don't have to depend on this as my source of income.
Shakespeare done---applauding!
Not a problem. I've been feeling bad because everything just got crazy busy with life in general one week in. At the rate things are going it's going to be another month before I get back to it, so you're welcome to it if you have the time.
Admin asked me if I'd like to do them, but I decided not to. So go ahead with the Shakespeare quizzes. If I ever decide to them (the Shakespeare quizzes), I'll first check with you as well as informing Admin. And, no, you're not being a hog. There's so much work to be had with Dickens and Shakespeare, and as we're the only two actively undertaking the work, I don't see how either one of us can be accused of being a hog.
I was wondering...are you planning on doing quizzes for the Shakespeare? By the way, if you want to respond to a visitor message, you click on the person's nam that left it to go to their site. You can then respond there, or click the "Contact Info" tab if you would prefer to email them. I didn't realize you had responded to my message because it shows up on your page, not mine. The Dickens keeps me busy, and I'm glad to leave Shakespeare to you. However, if you don't plan to do the quizzes, I might do those in the future. But I don't want to be a hog.
Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, I admit I'm anxious to get going and all. But I guess I should take it easy. But when I think about that I'll actually get paid for doing this...I can't help but be giddy. Again thanks for the welcome.
