Just about. Been lots of bad places for far too long. My withered claws scrabble at the edge of the abyss, as I grasp at straws and slither back into the light, my bloated undead corpus wallowing like a beached whale on the shore. So yeah. Still here. I see you are too. Bravo comrade! Storm the citadel and hang some politicians. It's what lampposts are for. Especially ornate ones. Live long and prosper! - H

Hi... thanks for voting in the 2015 Annual Short Story Competition finals. I submitted one of my stories "Happy Endings" into the contest. Critiques here on litnet have always been greatly helpful and helped me improve a lot. As you have already read the story, I was wondering if you could share your thoughts on the story on this thread-> http://www.online-literature.com/for...11#post1317611 Sorry to bother you. Thanks for reading the message.

Dieter, I must've misread the line in my comment on "The Other side of the Pond." It's corrected now! I like your most recent one too, and I don't think its fanciful elements are fey or treacly at all! I'd love to visit France, especially the countryside, but will never do it short of winning a multi-million dollar Lottery. The odds of my doing that are about the same as winning the Pulitzer Prize.
