  1. Thanks, JB! (I couldn't figure out how to post a message to your page, so it'll have to go here!) My inactivity started because of a trek across Spain with limited Internet, and then it kept up long after I got back. I enjoy your poems. They seem to have gotten better but not any less distinctly yours. In fact, by "better", I actually just mean MORE distinctly yours. Ciao!----L

Bloody hell Lumiere. Just saw your comment on Prince's poem. Haven't seen or heard from you in ages. Glad to see you back.

I love Jeanette Winterson and I love Lighthouse Keeping! Her style of writing is wonderful to the point that I am jealous.

TOS... Top of Sugarloaf? I have scrambled to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain in Maine USA and skiddered over the edge a few times.
To a real Trekkie, TOS would have no meeting since all that other stuff, beyond the silver spray painted Styrofoam cup days of Star Trek have to bear all the designations to distinguish THEM from the original series.
I am just messing with you -- and I'm no Trekkie. I can identify with Captain Pike as portrayed in the two-part series, The Menagerie. Looking back now, I wish I had conjured up a more literary figure to represent the, "severed head" survivor. Having said that, I enjoy the handle of Captain Pike, thanks for your inquiry.

Hi Lumiere--Since you were posting on the reading and loneliness thread that you don't have many real life reading friends, I thought I would send you a friend request to be your first Literature Network friend. Hope that you enjoy discussing books and reading with the people here.
