Haha, it wasn't that bad of an episode. At least, you can always count on Degrassi to push the progressive message, even when it's not common across TV.

Apparently the door broke by accident, and they decided to leave the scene in. That kinda explains why no one gets in trouble for breaking it. Though you have to wonder how hard that was on the actress if that was a normal window to break. There are two Riley episodes next week to watch, .

I see, thanks. Yes I was into T.S. Eliot awhile back but got turned off with his anti-Semitic allusions in his poetry. But then again, I am keeping an open mind and read stuff from him
    ;-)

1984 is a masterpiece. I'm half-way through it and yet I'm blown away with every page. Please do, read it if you get the chance. Orwell is a master.

Yes, it was during the Napoleonic Wars. There are eight movies in all based on the books by CS Forester about Horatio Hornblower. The Duel (HH started as a midshipman), The Fireships (HH as an acting Lieutenant), by the end of The Duchess & The Devil HH was an Official Lieutenant, that takes us to The Frogs & the Lobsters...
    Have you seen these?

I know that you like good movies. I don't know how you would evaluate this series, but I have a suggestion for you. Are you familiar with Ioan Gruffudd?

Hello, I just got home from shopping today. I'm quite exhausted. Perhaps in the next 24 hours or earlier, if you're available then. My apologies
Anyway, I wasn't able to find Slaughterhouse -5 today. Merde. But I got some other books instead. They are:

Being and Nothingness - Jean Paul Sartre
Kafka on the Shore - Haruki Murakami
Deliberate Prose (essay collection) - Allen Ginsberg!
1984 - George Orwell <- reading this first

    hope you're well

To whomever it may concern

by DanielBenoit on 12-15-2010 at 06:20 PM
It seems that I have been gone for a long time and in my laziness I wrote off a short and ambiguous post upon my return. Maybe it was just a little bit of smirky cleverness that I was so brief, it also had to do with my being busy that day. Well here's an explanation of where I've been:

Nowhere. My computer merely crashed on me Halloween night and I had to wait a few months before I could buy one. In the mean time I utilized my school's computer which blocked every-other website including

The mark of past tense verb
Tis' a scar that affects our life-line verse
And even the trite small-talk under blue skies.

When everything is under-sea
Painted with a white landscape
Of non-time, non-memory
Those moments we forget
Become the futures neglect.

So silent a lake-pond spring is
In the summer it is almost rancid
But in winter it is frozen deep into tedium
And atoms hibernate in stillness.

Interview and Reading List

by DanielBenoit on 08-30-2010 at 11:57 PM
Hello out there. Just figured I would say hello to the blogging world out there as I have been absent for quite some time.

I finally got a call back from a store I applied to and I'm getting an interview tomorrow. I'm nervous but confident, and most of all, I am looking forward to the $$

As of late I've been listening to quite a lot of music. Classical mostly. I have come across a truly transcendent epiphany in discovering the great Reinissance composer Gesualdo, thanks

Untitled Haiku

by DanielBenoit on 08-30-2010 at 10:08 PM
Late summer wheezing
A bike on a garden path
Sun soaked sweaty back.

Got a call for a
Job interview; tomorrow
Got hit by a car.

Hair needs some trimming.
For my job, my back, my days
Autumn better bless.
