Hi Virginia, I would say don't give up on what you want to do. However, if you require a masters degree in order to do the translations (is this in the UK?) then you will need that and there is no getting away from it. This doesn't mean that you can't be perfecting your technique and working towards translation while you are waiting for your masters. Just be building up your skills. you went to a bible study, and no one was able to give you proof in the five senses realm of any spiritual reality? Not surprising. You'd be better off reading the book yourself. You'll find your proof, if you don't (like nearly all supposed Christians) confuse belief with faith, surrender with commitment, or study with mindless acceptance.
