I don't know why going to the centre of the Earth would be all that glamorous. Even if you didn't suffer from the burning liquids or run out of oxygen, there isn't all that much else down there.

Thank You, Max, for your kind words about my dad. He lived a good long life, and I'm glad for that. It's hard to know I will never get to see him again. We tried to say good-bye as lovingly as we could. I wrote a little about it in my blog, if you care to look:
