OK. I just sent you a PM with my address. But please don't send your tape until I get back to town. OK? I don't want you to send it and then you never hear from me about receiving it. I will let you know as soon as I get back. OK?

Oh! By the way, and this isn't certain, as a detour from where I am going, I MIGHT go to the Ava Gardner Museum in NC. That will be a little thrill for me. I want to come back with Ava memorabilia galore!

No, I found out that "The Crowd" is not on DVD. Yes, I would love to watch your copy. And you have never seen "The Big Parade", right? Well, we could do a switch. I could loan you my tape of "The Big Parade" and I could borrow your tape of "The Crowd". How about that?

I will PM my address when I get back home after next week. How does that sound?

Have you ever seen "The Birth of a Nation"? Well, that is actually on my tape before "The Big Parade".

Oh, I spent so much time over there and I still haven't done everything that I wanted to do there. So, I think that when I get back I will have to devote a day to everything that I want to get done there. I want to catch up on the blogs and the forums. I post a couple of times and then that is it. I want to be able to just sit down and get it all caught up. Know what I mean? I did post again in the Crushes Thread, though, in the forum. I managed to find time for that.

Thanks for checking out the blog. Yes, I just had to include a photo of Ava in my blog. Of course, if you look beneath it, I had to quote the song "Moses" from "Singin' In the Rain". Don't ask me why because I really don't know. I am just crazy.

I read both of your comments, and I decided to just reply here in case you wouldn't see what I would post in the blog.

You know, I have yet to see "The Crowd". I always wanted to. Is it really good? It is a King Vidor picture, I know. I really do enjoy his films. Do you know if that is even on DVD?

I have yet to read Lloyd's granddaughter's book. I am so behind in my book-reading, anyway. A past blog entry mentions my lack of reading lately. At the time it was 197 books, but I think it is over that now, and that is the total amount of books that I own that I haven't read yet. I could be reading those, but instead I go and check 28 books out from the library instead. What is wrong with me?!? Anyway, it is on my list of books to read eventually, but at this rate, who knows when that will be! There really do seem to be some great books out there on silent films and the actors. Have you read many? I really would like to get a hold of John Gilbert's biography written by his daughter. I believe it is out-of-print now. So I am hoping to get it at least "used" from Amazon someday.

Oh, I have seen GWTW so many times that I couldn't even count anymore. I saw it only once when it was released back in 1997 (wasn't that when it was released into theaters again?). I remember the theater being packed for it. When you see a crowd like that, it makes you wish theaters would take notice and maybe re-release more films for theaters nowadays.

There is a theater here that shows a lot of classic films. I think I might go there to see "The Wizard of Oz", though. I think that is this weekend. I also saw "Singin' In the Rain" on the big screen about 10 years ago. A new theater opened and they were showing some movies for only $1. I think it is so much fun to be able to see these classics on a big screen. Don't you?

I will have to let you know when I post my 1940's list. I will probably stop by over at the other place tomorrow night. I want to change my profile, and there is a lot that I want to respond to there. So, I will probably see you there!

    Hey!

So have you been over there much? I have been having trouble. I can only post a few times and then it is like my computer freezes on me.

Anyway, I have been contemplating writing a couple of blog entries over there (various crazy topics ), but for now I have started some here. So far I have only written two, though. http://www.online-literature.com/forums/blog.php?b=8137
You will find a link to the next one at the bottom of this entry. I thought that they might be of interest to you.
