By the way is there any novel that you haven’t read more than once?

I like the realistic writing style of Steinbeck. His characters are so true to life that they cease to be just characters. The struggle of Kino and Juana for a better life (in The Pearl) touched my heart. After reading “The Pearl”, I have decided to read more of his novels. As for as "The old man and the sea" is concerned I really enjoyed reading it (I have no experience of fishing though). I liked "Anna Karenina" because it introduced me to Russian literature and partly because of the cute character of Levin.

And you are right about the long and amazing list of classics that goes on and on. My uncle always insists that I should read War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy, but I haven’t yet.
