Thanks. I just thought it would be a nice thing to read among all those flow charts . May be someday we can actually go to that world. *sigh* Until then. Have a good day.

Yes you mentioned your business. Well I am glad you have a place to escape. So escape, come, walk with me. There is a star-lit path that winds its way by the willows and curves around the mighty oak. Where the night flowers glow as they drink the silver breath of the cresant moon as she whispers to the twinkling stars above. Spend a night on my path with me, and we will sit by the lake with its glass surface. Isn't this world worth a visit?

So basically I am the crazy one. That's okay, it isn't that bad being crazy. So if you are not in the social groups, where do you spend your time on Lit Net?

Am I the only one that sees the structure of the social groups changing? Or the fact on pm we have a quick reply and we aren't required to do the advance settings by default? Maybe I am just crazy...

I have one poem that I will post in the Poets at Heart social group. I am not sure I like the changes they made while I was gone, but anyway....I went to the major cities: Venice, Florence, Rome.

Well it'll be nice to see something from you there, but if inspiration doesn't strike I understand. As soon as someone suggests a theme or a form I usually freeze up, and rhyme!! Well, let me just say: here's the mirror baby, right back at'cha!!

How's the business going? Big scary challenge and kind of great opening a business I guess. Very brave move, but liberating

Hello there! I was browsing through your photos of your artwork and they are beautiful! I also wanted to say thank you for posting your recent piece "Ballet in a laundromat", it inspired me to write one directly after. I love when that happens

be still my love - my life
the shadow nears (its
lightning arsenal firing)
why does it hunt you
why does it cry

as though its lucent sorrow could fall
into your dusky arms the way I do
one tender moment of each day
sand bound to stone

why does the scarred face of
this crumbling low not unnerve

Alexandre Dumas fils

by ~Sophia~ on 12-01-2009 at 06:00 PM
I thought this being a lit forum, some might be interested in seeing Alexander Dumas' grave site. I spent the entire afternoon at the CimetiŤre de Montmartre. There are several painters including Edar Degas, writers and poets buried there but, Alexandre Dumas fils (son) is I would guess the most famous of them...

I'm Here - In PARIS!!!

by ~Sophia~ on 11-29-2009 at 04:06 PM
Arrived Saturday morning and, it's everything I've ever hoped or dreamed and more. I'm attaching some of the photos I've taken so far.

I am living in the 18th Arrondissement know as Montmartre. Many famous classic artists lived in this section of town or had art studios here. Though I haven't yet had time to write a poem, one is brewing! Adieu mon amis!

ps: There are more than 100 photos (in 1.5 days LOL) on my facebook. If you are interested you can see them

When The Hurricanes Return

When The Hurricanes Return

it must have been because
(not when)
the birds and my eyes fell from the sky

that I needed something to hold and
rode at dusk on Encuentro beach

sorrel tarantula running down
the cricketís evensong

past girls with legs like herons basking
past boys with plantains in their hands

My Poems About Haiti and the D.R.

It Only Means

by ~Sophia~ on 04-23-2009 at 08:01 PM
Iíve been to the cloud forest where wind trees
wink silver and pale magnolias dissolve

loose petals on a white capped sea.

Where I stepped out of a beach towel and
thirty nine notes of Chopinís raindrops hit the shore

I put my right foot in - I put my right foot out

but, Iím afraid of the armís length centipede
behind the dresser. Wiki says it lays eggs.
Now I canít sleep -

hard - like the
