Thanks for the wishes, happy new year to you too.
"Let the right one in" is almost on the top of my list ..i watched way too many films in theatre last year and i believe that 09 was a good year (compared to other years that is). If you ever have the chance check out this one

It's not very often that i suggest a greek film to anyone but this one was great imo (and it topped my list)
I'll have to check tetro i guess

I watched the antichrist last night at the theater..very interesting film (i like the way it was directed - very Lynch like ). I generally don't like Trier (although i have yet to watch kingdom hospital and breaking the waves)..but this one was nice (it'd be much better with less sex scenes though..not that i am a prude or anything but i think one or two were enough to make his point). I know that you have seen the film (but i don't remember if you liked it or not, so did you?)

I hope he was inspired in a possitive way..anyway the reason i watched the film was the palm d'or it received at cannes festival..it wasn't a bad film per se..but i think it was a pretentious one..such a very important issue (juvenile violence) and i got the feeling that the film had nothing valid to say about it (ok the portrayal was good and everything but how about the reasons). I wasn't expecting a second bowling for columbine but but..

I just want to say that you have a great taste in films . I can't believe that someone knows who Bela Tarr is. I know I've been ranting about it on the Favorite Films thread, but his work is too underrated.

Yeah i've noticed the Bela Tarr movies you've seen in the movie thread..i've heard of him but never seen a film. I had to google Maddin. Never heard of him and his movie titles don't ring any bells. Are they good?
