Hi ericson, thanks for asking; actually things are much better now but it will be an ongoing concern. I have been feeling a bit down the past few days but it might just be a touch of restlessness myself and feelings of personal frustration. Your message and concern most certainly does touch me and make me happy to know someone cares. I have a lot of great friends here on Lit Net and I don't know where I would be without their wonderful support. Thanks for yours.

How quickly time flies when one is in school! It must be furfilling to know you did so well. I wish you the very best. I am sure you worked hard for those 'good scores.' Did you accomplish your 'thick' novel? I remember those required reading assigments and how crazy they made me when I was young. I think now a thick novel I see as a challenge and not as a chore; that the difference between having to do something and choosing it on one's own. I read all 4 or 5 volumes of "Les Miserables" and felt quite accomplished. Lately, though I have been so lazy; first I was reading short novels and short stories and now I am retired to plays - those usually are short, as well. Eventually, I will get back to those 'thick' novels, I had planned to read; they are sitting here begging me to read them! haha

God bless you too, ericson...and good luck with your 4th semester in school.

ericson, I am glad you understand. I was not directly effected by the national crisis although my son is worried about it and of course we all are concerned as well. The crisis in within my own family - not financial but physical/mental. My sister is bipolar and has had a total relapse of her disease. I have had to take over the situtation and getting her help. She is now on her 4th hospital stay. I am quite dismayed at this point, but there is always hope, right? Please say a prayer for my family. We have been through a great deal of stress lately.
Thanks again for being so understanding and hope you get responses from posting a thread on the subject. Good luck to you.

ericson, I am so sorry; I am sure I have disappointed you. I really can't concentrate on the poem you send to me. Did you write it? I have been attending to a family crisis since before the holidays and it still requires considerable attention. I hope that soon I can return to some form of normalacy and be calmer and more focused. I hope by now you got better help with the poem than from me. I am sorry to disappoint. Maybe you could post it in a thread to discuss. Many people on here love to discuss poetry. My speciality is not poetry, although I most certainly do love it, especially Shakespeare.

Glad to make friends with you, ericson. You wrote "I like almost your posts, It’s caused in every threads I can see your posts.."

Just curious, which posts were they; in what subject matter or thread?

"I guess you are “literature-addicted”, but that was good…"

Haha...not really that much so. I read really super slowly and I don't read nearly the volume other people do on here. I do however know a few authors well because I set out to inform myself and learn. I know and have read most of Thomas Hardy's work. I also know much about the author, D.H.Lawrence; currently he is my main focus of study.

Otherwise, I am more of an artist and movie lover than a reader. However, I like to read very much; so I revived my interest in books the past 4 or so years.

Thanks for the information on the photo. It is such a great shot. I love the sillouettes and the hats and the steep peak, with rays of sun breaking throught the clouds, in the background. Indonesia, eh...how very interesting.

Good luck with your studies and glad you are enjoying the forum and learning new things here. Feel free to join in the discussions. Many on the forum struggle with their English, but everyone helps out and can usually interpret what they mean - no problem.

Thank you - that is a wonderful compliment; I am flattered. I didn't know I had a secret admirer (blushing). I would be honored to have you as my friend. Are you new? If so, welcome to the forum and thanks for reading my posts; which ones did you read anyway?

Your profile photo is marvelous, really stunning mountain - which moutain is it?
